Inner Peace Is For Losers

The schedule is up for Hypericon 4 so I checked it out. I'm on two panels: "PROMOTING PODCASTS AND PODCASTS PROMOTING YOU" on Friday at 6pm, and "WHY MY FIRST PODCAST MAY HAVE SUCKED" at noon on Saturday.

I'm psyched. This will be my first experience as a guest at a con, and I do know a little bit about podcasting. At least, the way we do it. It'll be fun to act like an authority and talk about this stuff. And, of course, the room parties.

Hypericon runs June 27-29 at the Days Inn Stadium in Nashville. Hoping for a good turnout!

Looking up information on energy drinks, I found this: Death by Caffeine. You plug in your weight, choose your poison, and click "kill me." It tells you how much of your selected drink it would take to overdose. (Watch out for Fixx.) It's a fun time-waster.

Finally, here's what it's like to live in a house where a podcast is produced. I was doing dishes and heard the most agonized screams. Now I know Neil and Tony tend to get worked up over their video games, but this went beyond even that. Then, ominous silence. I went slowly up the stairs, expecting to see blood. They came out of the podcast production room (aka my bedroom) laughing. They'd been doing sound effects for the next podcast.
