Inner Peace Is For Losers

The gym I go to is on a hillside that overlooks the town. It's a good setup. The cardio machines face huge windows that look east. I always choose the recumbent bike. The stair-climbers and elipticals are torture devices of the DEVIL, and the rails on the treadmills are the wrong height for me.

So this morning I was on the bike, listening to music and enjoying the view. To the left was the bay, and straight ahead was the sunrise. Beautiful. I saw fall colors on the trees, blue sky with shades of pink and orange in the east. Birds are gathering for the winter migration, and flew toward me in huge flocks. Jets out of the local airport also flew over, heading for Detroit, Chicago, or Milwaukee.

VH1 provided the soundtrack, as the bike has a built in TV. It must have been old-timers day, as I heard new music from the Eagles and Bruce Springsteen.

On the opposite side of the fitness coin, son Neil brought home fudge, caramel apples, and a bag o' chocolate from Kilwins, where he works. They have the best chocolate EVER.
