Emerging from my sickbed to find the world is still here. Autumn has arrived, quite abruptly it seems, which tends to be normal for us. I love this kind of weather, though. Brisk. The trees are starting to change, rain comes and goes. I actually saw a rainbow this morning. I had a very nasty bug over the past week, and it really kicked my ass. Today it's much better, just feels like a mild cold. Energy is returning and I did some errands this morning. On the downside, I seemed to have passed it on to Rick.

So, not getting a lot of work done, which I hope to remedy today. Nine Inch Nails tends to inspire me to write, so I'll give that a shot. Speaking of NIN, I got a nice note from Trent asking me to fill out a survey. He's a funny guy. There may be prizes. Speaking of work, my copy of Killing Kiss has arrived:
Just released by the House of Murky Depths, and edited by yours truly. It's a terrific story, especially for those who like their vampires powerful.

School is in full swing. My daughter is involved in marching band, so we're going to football games. Here's a picture from Homecoming night featuring Rowan, who is surely too young for this. [info]daytonward, this is what you have to look forward to:
